A review of Fedora core 1 - the community Linux effort that was spun off by Red Hat from https://arstechnica.com :
Another criticism we hear is that Red Hat is deserting the desktop and concentrating on the enterprise, leaving the community that has built the company's reputation with just a shoddy consolation prize, Fedora. After using it throughout the beta cycle, we can say that would be true if it wasn't for one small problem ? Fedora rocks. Hard.
We found the release a breath of fresh air. Glancing at the Fedora mailing lists, one sees a vibrant and productive community, where such luminaries as Alan Cox answer support questions. We think that Red Hat's official withdrawal of technical support will not be missed much
Now isnt that nice to hear ! Good luck Fedora ... I'll drop by sometime into the Fedora Legacy list
However, I'm sticking my with Debian Sid for now :-)
