On a Yak !!!

Enjoyed the ride, but also felt some pity for these poor beasts ... even though it was reeeeaaaalllly cold I dont think these were all that comfy with the weather ! :-(

Chango lake @ 12400 ft !

Phew ! I've kinda settled down after a mind boggling trip. The pics are all out and scanned. Over the next few days I'll upload some of them to this blog. This one is Tsango lake situated at 12400 Ft above sea level and not very far from the India-China Border pass Nathu-la. The locals say that the entire lake freezes in winter. The interesting part of the deal is the Yaks here (check out the ride ;-)) Needless to say, as isa everything else in this part of the world, the lake is considered to be holy !
